Spend two full days on our farm with Sue learning small and large scale installation techniques. Both experienced floral designers and novice floral enthusiasts are invited to this full immersion workshop.
Students can expect to dive into the step by step process of installation design through proper mechanics, thoughtful selection of source material as well as creating color and proportional balance. With Sue’s guidance you will gain the skills to create impactful floral installations for your business or for your own enjoyment.
Sue McLeary needs little introduction. Artist, Author and Worldwide Educator. She is the industry leader in sustainable floristry and innovative mechanics through the use of natural armatures. Sue invites her students to see and execute design through new eyes and techniques. She will be on our farm May 22nd and 23rd.
Both days, May 22nd and 23rd will begin at 10am and end at 4 pm. We will gather in small groups at several locations of the farm for hands on instruction and execution of installations in our natural setting; including in and around our expansive pond and woodlands.
A light lunch and drinks will be served on both days and we will enjoy a glass of wine (or non-alcoholic beverage) and some sweet treats together before parting ways at the end of day two.
Photography will be taken at all stages of this event and shared with each participant for use in your own business media kits or for your own enjoyment.
In addition, this experience will be taking place on a working flower farm. You will be invited to a tour of Grateful Gardeners’ flower fields, growing and processing production areas, as well as a guided tour through the new and state of the art Aquaponics greenhouse, one of the only floriculture greenhouses of it’s kind in the world.
Before purchasing our new 34 acre farm, we did not have the space or capacity to host the kind of floral experiences that we’ve dreamed of … until now.
It is our sincere hope that you have both an experience AND a valuable education during this workshop. We believe that Sue McLeary will provide both … in droves.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any additional questions. Seats will be limited for this workshop and sales will be open until all seats are filled, which we don’t anticipate will take long, so we hope you don’t miss this opportunity!
